Imperial Team Toyota Namib Test Day 3.

Imperial Team Toyota continued their testing program in Namibia for a third consecutive day today.

Achievements for the day are that the suspension setup has been finalised, while Giniel completed a 70km dune crossing through soft sand in the heat of the day.

In the soft dunes, both cars shipped sand into the bell housing and onto the clutch. The technical team replaced both clutches under service park conditions, a useful exercise under the circumstances.

After three long days, during which the team has been working from just before sunrise until after the late west coast sunset, there is a noticeably more subdued atmosphere in the camp tonight, as well as a real sense of satisfaction with the improvements that were made to the cars over this time.

Tomorrow, the fourth and last day of testing, will be devoted to testing the new setups and small modifications under a variety of conditions in order to finally sign them off.
