Imperial Team Toyota Namib Test Day 4.

Before returning home, the IMPERIAL Toyota Team rounded off their successful testing program in Namibian dunes at Lauberville.

The suspension settings were finalised with both Duncan and Giniel expressing their satisfaction with the Hilux's handling. Engine mapping and transmission settings have been put to bed and the IMPERIAL Toyota Hilux V8 passed a 3 continuous minute, soft sand, dune ascent with aplomb.

Areas in which additional work is required have also been identified. These include the more work on the side shafts and preventing sand from entering the bell housing.

As for outside observers, it was clear that Glyn Hall and his team have produced a car that looks great, sounds the part and is mighty.

The four day test in the unforgiving Namib, not only highlighted areas where more work was required, but also confirmed the potential of the IMPERIAL Toyota Hilux V8.

Next stop, Mar Del Plata in Argentina for the start of DAKAR 2012 on 1 January!! We will keep you up to date with all the news on the IMPERIAL Toyota Team.
